25 years community service

The Club

The Zonta Club of Hong Kong East, with 23 charter members, was inaugurated on May 20, 1980 as the 922nd club within Zonta International, a worldwide classified service organization of executives in business and professions who devote themselves to civil and social services. We now have over 50 members, two Z-Clubs and two Golden Z-Clubs which are service clubs for students sponsored by Zonta Clubs to encourage them to assume the roles of responsibility and leadership in the world.

Ever since its inception, our Club has been committed to improving the well being of the underprivileged, particularly the young, the women, the elderly, the sick and the handicapped. Our service projects have over the years been targeted at meeting the ever-changing social needs of the Hong Kong community. With increased financial and human resources, we have extended our activities to encompass education development and environmental improvement. For more information, explore the links under "Service" section.
