Ever since its inception in the year 1980, Zonta Club of Hong Kong East has flourished from strength to strength. Membership increased from 21 charter members to over 50 recently. During the past 28 years, 300 service projects of various natures were successfully launched, rendering assistance, vocational training, support, self-esteem enhancement and empowerment to approximately one hundred thousand women, youth and elderly in Hong Kong. Six fund-raising events and over seventy luncheon meetings and numerous fellowship functions had been held. Our Club has indeed set a publicly recognized track record.

We owe our success and accomplishment to our many friends for their unfailing support and encouragement throughout the years. We are grateful to the speakers who came to our Luncheon Meetings to deliver talks; Officiating Guests and Keynote speakers who graced our occasions with their presence at our Major events; NGOs and charitable organizations which worked closely with us as we implemented our service projects. We express our sincerest gratitude to our donors for their generous support to our fund-raising events, making it possible for us to carry out meaningful and useful service projects.
We wish to convey our appreciation to our Patrons for their patronage, to the Area 2 Directors for their hard work and guidance, to Presidents and members of sister clubs in Hong Kong with whom we have enjoyed many happy fellowship functions. Our special thanks must go to our Honorary Members: Mrs. Regina Ip for her loyalty and devotion to the Club as a member and later as our Honorary member; Mrs. Alice Chiu for her staunch support and assistance to our service and fund-raising activities; Mrs. Anson Chan who has been with us since day one as a charter member. Mrs. Chan’s continuous care and devotion to our Club; her unfailing support, sound advice and guidance; and her effort in trying to be there whenever we needed her warrant our profound gratitude.
