The White Cane Day 2018 was held on October 28, 2018. This event aimed to encourage the visually impaired (VI) and sighted participants to form teams to have different sports competitions in order to promote inclusion among the VI and their able-bodied counterparts. The highlight and finale of the event was the Guinness World Record attempt for which 225 VI joined by healthy sighted people with blind folds to walk 400 meters to highlight, embrace and symbolise the spirit of Independence for VIs, i.e. the core message of the International White Cane Day. With joined venture and collective effort, Zontians and friends raised $30,000 for this year’s White Cane Day.
